When a cannabinoid absorbs into our body, it attaches to specific cannabinoid receptors, and this process enables the cannabinoid receptors to regulate specific processes that affect our body and mind.  Meanwhile, specific cannabinoid receptors in the brain use cannabinoids to produce a psychoactive effect, and how strongly a single cannabinoid attaches to those receptors determines the strength of the high, which explains why some cannabinoids are far more intoxicating than others.  

There are over 100 individual cannabinoids in the hemp plant, and each one plays its own role in interacting with the endocannabinoid system, which is why each cannabinoid ultimately feels and behaves differently.  This is why getting high off of delta 8 can feel so different from getting high off of THC-P, for example.

How Does THC-H Work with the Endocannabinoid System?

Tetrahydrocannabihexol was only discovered within the last couple of years, and sadly we know very little about it when it comes to its specific relationship to cannabinoid receptors in the endocannabinoid system, other than the fact that it binds to CB1 receptors at a phenomenal rate, which is why it’s the second most intoxicating cannabinoid in the plant after THC-P. 

The specific rate at which it attaches to these receptors is unknown, at least for now, but we do know that THC-P attaches at 31x the rate of delta 9 THC, and THC-H is believed to be only slightly less potent than THC-P in terms of how high it can get the user.  

What Effects Can THC-H Offer?

THC-H, like we said, is still an enigmatic cannabinoid since it’s a recent discovery, with next to no scientific literature to give us a deeper understanding of what it can do.  Like we said, its high is the second strongest out of the cannabinoids that we do know of.  THC-P is 10 times as intoxicating as delta 9 THC, and THC-H seems to be just a little less intoxicating, so if you are going to take THC-H, prepare for a profound high.
