HHC-P is the cannabinoid that we know the least about – for now – simply because it’s so new.  We actually don’t really know its origin, except that it’s a recently semi-synthesized form of HHC, much like HHC-O.  HHC-P is made through an isomerization process, in which CBD’s molecules are rearranged to convert them into a phenomenally potent form of hexahydrocannabinol (HHC), an extremely trace psychoactive, hydrogenated form of THC with exceptional shelf stability due to its hydrogen molecules.

HHC-P is sort of the THC-P of HHC, if that makes sense.  It’s specially made to act on CB1 receptors in the brain at about 30x the rate of traditional HHC, making it up to 10x as intoxicating as hexahydrocannabinol.  Needless to say, this means that HHC is extremely psychoactive – it may even be more intoxicating than tetrahydrocannabiphorol (THC-P), which we’ve considered in the past to be the most intoxicating cannabinoid in the entirety of cannabis.  That being said, we don’t know much about what the high is like just yet, other than that it seems to be very, very euphoric.

HHC-P’s Non-Psychoactive Properties 

Because HHC-P is a brand new cannabinoid, we actually don’t know what other properties it may possess.  The cannabinoid has not yet been researched in a way that could give us insight into what it can offer to the human body besides a potent high.  But, what we can say is that HHC-P likely gives you all of the effects of HHC, only stronger.  So, it may be particularly helpful for things like nausea, appetite, physical discomfort, mood and sleep.  Studies will emerge eventually to give us a clearer understanding of what HHC-P can do.

THCV Origin 

THCV was discovered way back in 1973, as a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in hemp in extremely trace levels.  THCV makes up about 0.1% of the hemp plant, and is a homologue of delta 9 THC, meaning that molecularly, the two cannabinoids are very similar, despite actually having very different effects and properties.
