7 Severe HXC Cannabinoid Side Effects You Must Know

HXC, aka HHC (hexahydrocannabinol), has been on the market for long enough now that we have a pretty good idea as to what to expect when taking it.  This applies to not only its potential benefits and spectacular high, but its potential side effects as well.  Basically, with HXC being so similar to delta 9 THC, it’s not surprising that its side effect profile is pretty much the same, especially when the HXC is consumed in higher-than-average doses.

Are There Any Side Effects When Taking HXC?

Again, the potential side effects sorta mimic HXC, and by going over them now, you’ll know what you may experience should you take a stronger dose than what was intended initially.

#1: HXC May Cause Dry Mouth

Dry mouth is common with basically all psychoactive cannabinoids.  Usually referred to as “cottonmouth,” it’s not actually caused by dehydration, which many mistakenly believe.  Truthfully, it’s the result of the interaction between the cannabinoid and cannabinoid receptors that control our salivary glands.  And, fortunately, a glass of water is a simple remedy.

#2: HXC May Cause Dry Eyes

Similarly, to above, HXC interacts with cannabinoid receptors that regulate the moisture levels in our eyes, which is why it’s common for the eyes to start feeling dry once the high kicks in.  The result is eyes that appear bloodshot, and even feel dry when you blink.  Some lubricating eye drops can help a lot with this common, harmless side effect.

#3: HXC May Increase Appetite

HXC may cause “the munchies” just like delta 9 THC.  Most cannabinoids have appetite-increasing effects, and this isn’t cause for concern in any way.  The effect usually kicks in about halfway through the high and may last for a bit after the high has worn off.

#4: HXC May Cause Dizziness

A common side effect caused by takin a very high dose of a cannabinoid like HXC is dizziness or lightheadedness.  You might start to feel off balance or even nauseous, in rarer cases.  This side effect can be enhanced if you’ve also consumed alcohol.  In reality, fainting while high on any cannabinoid is incredibly rare, but if you do feel weak or unsteady, sitting, or laying down is the way to go.

#5: HXC May Cause Lowered Blood Pressure

Another side effect is a mild drop in blood pressure.  That can play a role in the dizziness/lightheadedness effect we just talked about, and also cause an increase in heartrate that’s not actually dangerous, but still may feel particularly unpleasant because of how much being high on THC makes us hyperaware of physical sensations.  Again, you don’t really need to do anything about this but simply wait it out.

#6: HXC May Cause Anxiety or Paranoia

A more common side effect that comes with taking too much of any psychoactive cannabinoid is anxiety and/or paranoia, and also is most common among beginners who just aren’t used to being high.  This can feel like hypervigilance, or a feeling that something is “wrong” with you.  Luckily, these feelings often pass before the high has worn off, once the cerebral effects have peaked.

#7: HXC May Cause Drowsiness, Forgetfulness, Spaciness, and a Lack of Coordination

Grogginess, drowsiness and feeling spacy or foggy are common with psychoactive cannabinoids like HXC, and your motor skills might take a backseat for a while.  This is just a normal part of being high, and if you’re feeling very drowsy, there’s nothing wrong with laying down for a while to wait it out.

Bottom Line: HXC’s Side Effects are Generally Mild

Yes, side effects like the ones above may be uncomfortable, but fortunately none of them are major concerns.  Of course, the best way to avoid them is to buy a high-quality HXC product from a trusted brand, as the cleaner the formula and the higher-quality the HXC itself, the less likely they are to happen.  And, of course, it’s important to follow the instructions on the label, which tell you how much to take based on a beginner’s level, since side effects are far more likely to occur if you take more of the cannabinoid than your tolerance allows.

Stick to the HXC at Binoid, and you’ll be far less likely to experience any of these side effects as long as you take the recommended amount.
