Isomerization is a process generally used to produce all cannabinoid distillates other than CBD.  CBD, aka cannabidiol, is the only cannabinoid in hemp that’s very abundant, making up around 20% of the entire composition of the plant.  Isolating CBD is very easy and inexpensive because of this, and thus, rearranging its molecules can produce a true and pure delta 9 distillate which is ready to go into different products.
