THC-C and THCH-O sound like they’re nearly identical cannabinoids based on the name, but the truth is that while they are both THC isomers, their effects are unique enough to make each one worth exploring on its own. Let’s compare the two so you can understand how they differ from one another.
THCH-O is tetrahydrocannabihexol acetate, which refers to the acetated form of THC-H – aka, THC-H enhanced with an acetate to make it even more psychoactive. THCH-O has a chemically enhanced side chain that likely makes it between 1.5 to 2 times as potent.
One thing we do know about THCH-O is that it is extremely intoxicating, maybe as intoxicating as THC-P, and we know this because of how efficiently it attaches to CB1 receptors in the brain that create the psychoactive response associated with THC cannabinoids in general, especially thanks to the enhancement of an acetate.
